Frequently Asked Questions

How often should my dog go to dog day care?

Central Bark’s Enrichment Day Care program has a minimum commitment of one visit per week. Regular attendance helps dogs build familiarity with the environment, people, other dogs, and routine, which supports comfort and safety. Beyond that weekly minimum, the right schedule depends on your dog’s age, energy level, personality, and individual needs.

Do you groom senior or special needs dogs?

Yes. Dog grooming for senior or special-needs dogs often requires extra time and gentler

handling. Contact us before scheduling your service to tell us about any concerns or

special needs, including joint issues, hearing loss, or vision loss.

How do I know which grooming services my dog needs?

The right grooming services depend on your dog’s coat type, skin and coat condition, breed, activity level, and individual grooming needs. Services may include bathing, brushing, nail care, ear care, trimming, or a full groom. For an even better idea of which services may be right for your dog, choose your local Central Bark and select Book Now. You can share some basic information about your dog, explore available grooming options, and see starting pricing.

What should I bring when boarding my dog?

Before your dog’s boarding stay, make sure your online account and required health information are up to date, including an emergency contact who can be reached if you are unavailable. Follow your local Central Bark’s instructions for food, medications, leash and collar, and any approved comfort items from home.
