About Central Bark Sheboygan

Our names are Gareth and Kristine and we are the proud owners of Central Bark Sheboygan. We wanted to take a quick moment and let you know that both you and your pups will receive nothing but the best care, service, and dedication here at Central Bark Sheboygan.

Before joining the Central Bark family we worked in the luxury charter yacht industry. For more than fifteen years Gareth worked as a professional charter boat captain, while Kristine spent the last nine years as a yacht chef and first mate. In fact, nine years ago is when the two of us met. Together we have sailed around the world delivering nothing but the best service to our guests and their friends and families. As well as our dedication to great service we have always prided ourselves in the cleanliness and safety of our yachts and we continue this level of service at Central Bark Sheboygan. In 2018, we decided to settle down and start a family. Now we’re the proud parents of two beautiful children and our dog. We’ve always been dog lovers and as our family grew, we began looking for business opportunities that aligned with our sense of family and our love for dogs.

“We welcome you to join our Central Bark family.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to Doggy Day Care?

Once you have enrolled, we will need a copy of your dog’s vaccination records, which you can upload to your online account or bring with you on your scheduled first day. We also ask that your dog comes in on a regular 6-foot flat leash (no retractable or flexi-leads in the lobby) and a quick-release collar. Not sure what a quick-release collar is? No problem! We’ll be happy to show you on your first day. If your dog usually wears a harness while walking, you’re welcome to bring that as well.

If your dog typically eats a midday meal, you can bring it in an airtight container clearly labeled with your dog’s first and last names.

Can I see the complete facilities where my dog will be staying?

Absolutely! We strongly encourage all prospective clients to see our facilities firsthand. We believe a tour is the best way to understand what to look for in a dog day care. You can schedule a visit to tour our complete indoor and outdoor play areas and private rest spaces. We want you to feel completely confident and comfortable with our secure environment. You can also explore our facility and get a feel for what a day at Central Bark looks like by viewing the photos and virtual tours on our website.

What is dog grooming?

Dog grooming helps keep your dog clean, healthy, and comfortable. It can include anything from a simple brush-out or bath to a full spa day, complete with a grooming session and nail care.

All dogs are unique. Just like humans, your dog deserves personalized grooming for their size, breed, coat type, and condition. Please ask an associate for details.

What are flexible playgroups?

Flexible playgroups allow us to match your dog with the social atmosphere and play schedule they can enjoy and benefit from most. This helps give them a healthy balance of play, rest, and learning and creates a safer social environment with a better quality of play. And our lower dog-to-staff ratios offer more individual attention, education, and love.
