Our June dog(s) of the month is a trio of siblings….Tate, a seven year old Border collie, Sadie, an 8 year old shepherd mix and Annie, a 7 month old lab mix. Tate and Sadie have been playing at Central Bark since June 2012. Little orphan Annie has been adopted into this amazing family and has been burning off her puppy energy here for the past four months. Although they did not come from the same litters, this pack is tight; it’s enduring to see the bond between them all. Below are some more fun tidbits:
– Tate likes to pretend he’s Jack Tripper, with Janet (Sadie) and Chrissy (Annie) in his own version of Three’s Company. Tate sent an email to the owners of the Vine asking if they would consider changing the name to the Regal Beagle. He has not heard back from them yet.
– Sadie and Tate both enjoy listening to the blues while Annie prefers musicals and commercial jingles. However, they all agree that their favorite girl band is Destiny’s Child and favorite boy band is Hanson.
– At home, Sadie and Tate like to chill and swap recipes and Star Wars cards with their neighborhood friends while Annie works on her coloring skills.
– Over the years, Tate has perfected his howl and is working hard training his sisters. His dream is to become as famous as the Three Tenors. If that fails, he can fall back on his barbershop quartet that he has with his fellow huskies at Central Bark.
– Sadie’s goal is to become a famous sous chef. She has been attending night classes at the College of Lake County and cooks dinner every other night. Unfortunately, Tate and Annie usually prefer Kraft Mac and Cheese over Sadie’s “exotic” dishes; there have been quite a few broken dishes because of this.
– Annie has the entire soundtrack to “Oliver!” memorized in three different languages: English, French and Portuguese. She will break out in song at every opportunity; her favorite song is “Oom-Pah-Pah.” Tate and Sadie have invested in high end earplugs.
As you can imagine, these three amigos bring us much joy! Congratulations Tate, Sadie and Annie…. Enjoy your month to shine because three is definitely a magic number in June!
