We’ve been taking our 7 month old puppy, Noli, to Central Bark since they first opened, and it’s been such a great experience from day one. We initially started with their free puppy play hour on Saturdays, which was an awesome way to meet the owner and staff and learn more about their daycare options.
Now, she goes twice a week, and she literally gets so excited when we pull up in the morning, it’s the best feeling knowing she loves being there. The staff are incredibly attentive and clearly care so much about the dogs.
One thing we especially appreciate is their communication. They send thoughtful text updates with photos from her playtime, making it easy to stay connected throughout the day. Scheduling is also super convenient over text, and they’re always quick to answer any questions we have.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a daycare that truly cares about your pup!

I was so happy to find this place for grooming. They did an amazing job with my mini poodle. The staff was very accommodating, listened carefully to what we wanted and made sure he looked exactly how we hoped. Highly recommend!

We’ve had dogs for 20 years and have been through our share of daycares, boarding facilities, and groomers. Central Bark Durham stands out.
Over the past 5 months, our dogs have used their daycare, training, grooming, and boarding services — all in one location, which is incredibly convenient. The staff are fantastic: professional, responsive to feedback, and they’ve genuinely gotten to know our dogs by name and personality.
Compared to everywhere else we’ve been over two decades, Central Bark Durham is better than most and on par with the very best. We’ve already sent several friends their way and will keep recommending them without hesitation.

Incredibly caring staff and a very clean and professional facility. I always feel good leaving my dog here and he absolutely loves going to daycare every week.
Only boarded with them once so far but it was a very positive experience. The weekend drop off/pickup hours are very convenient.

We boarded both of our dogs this past weekend – they took such good care of our lab and golden retriever. We had them groom our retriever and he looks amazing! They trimmed his nails (impossible task) and removed all of his matted/knotty fur! Our lab recently had a procedure and they made sure she was calm and happy! Thank you so much to the amazing team at Central Bark Durham – we will be back!

From the very first visit, it was clear that CB’s team is special. Today, Yang went above and beyond to make Slater feel comfortable at the SPA, taking the time to work with her patiently and build that essential trust.
I am floored that Slater came home with all her nails trimmed! WHAT? No drugs required? It has been a stressful experience for the past 5 years, but you are making all the difference. Slater comes home not just with perfectly trimmed nails but let’s talk about how wonderful she smells after her grooming session! We are so grateful for the care and attention that the whole team provides at Central Bark in Durham!! I don’t wanna know your magic tricks, I am bringing my Pittie back!!
