Whole Dog Care Includes Being Prepared
At Central Bark Durham, our commitment to Whole Dog Care goes beyond providing a fun place for dogs to play. It’s about caring for every aspect of your dog’s physical health, emotional well-being, safety, and happiness while they’re with us.
That’s why we’re proud to share that every member of our team is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.
Caring for the Whole Dog
Whole Dog Care means looking at each dog as an individual. Every dog has unique needs, energy levels, personalities, and health considerations. Our team is trained to recognize those needs and provide personalized care that supports both their body and mind.
Whether your pup is enjoying Enrichment Dog Day Care®, boarding with us, or participating in one of our activities, our goal is to create experiences that reduce stress, encourage healthy behaviors, and help them return home happy, healthy, and fulfilled.
Prepared for Every Situation
Even in the safest environment, unexpected situations can happen. Dogs can experience allergic reactions, overheating, cuts, choking, or other medical emergencies.
By ensuring every Central Bark Durham team member is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid, we’ve added another layer of protection for the dogs in our care. Our team is trained to recognize emergencies quickly, provide appropriate first aid, and respond confidently while veterinary care is being arranged.
While we hope these skills are never needed, being prepared is part of our commitment to exceptional care.
Prevention Is Part of Whole Dog Care
One of the greatest benefits of Pet CPR and First Aid training is learning how to recognize the early signs of illness, discomfort, fatigue, or stress before they become more serious.
Combined with our individualized approach to enrichment, rest, socialization, and supervision, this training allows us to better support each dog’s overall health and well-being throughout the day.
Sometimes the best care isn’t responding to an emergency—it’s helping prevent one.
A Team Dedicated to Excellence
At Central Bark Durham, every team member shares responsibility for your dog’s health and safety.
Investing in ongoing education, professional development, and emergency preparedness reflects the high standards we hold ourselves to every day. We believe exceptional pet care requires knowledgeable, compassionate people who are committed to continually learning and growing.
Peace of Mind for Pet Parents
When you leave your dog with us, you’re trusting us with a beloved member of your family. We don’t take that responsibility lightly.
Our Pet CPR and First Aid certifications are one more example of our commitment to Whole Dog Care. Along with personalized enrichment, attentive supervision, positive social experiences, and plenty of love, they help ensure your dog receives thoughtful, comprehensive care every time they visit.
At Central Bark Durham, Whole Dog Care isn’t just a philosophy—it’s the promise we make to every dog and every family who walks through our doors.
