Meet Heidi and Comet! Heidi is a beautiful 5 year old German Shepherd that has been coming to Central Bark since October 2010! Her brother, 2 year old Comet, has been playing here since October 2013. These two have a typical brother/sister relationship; Heidi is the bossy big sister and Comet is the pesky little brother. They may bicker like siblings, but they sure do love each other. Below are some more fun facts from their friends at Central Bark:
- Heidi’s celebrity crush is Rin Tin Tin and Comet’s is Meg Ryan.
- Comet has been training for the Iditarod race for the past year. Heidi has been trying to bleach the brown out of her fur so she can pass as a husky and join her brother on the team. Unfortunately, her fur turned orange from the peroxide.
- Heidi, Comet and their best friend Duke like to refer to themselves as the Three Musketeers. Their moms won’t let them play with swords so they use closed umbrellas instead. When they are bored they will pass the time by acting out the battle scenes from Braveheart.
- On Tuesday afternoons, the duo used to volunteer at a local food pantry but were asked to leave after they were caught taking small bites of food from the meat section.
- These two can never decide what movie to go see; Heidi loves Steven Segal and Comet prefers Pixar movies and “Chick Flicks.”
- Heidi’s favorite TV show is The Voice and she loves to sing along with the contestants. By doing so, she hopes to help Comet overcome his fear of howling.
- For Halloween this year, the siblings dressed up as Donny and Marie Osmond.
- Comet likes to refer to himself in third person as “Heidi’s Comet.”
