Linda Gurath (with Buffy and Cooper)
Owner
After many years spent as a corporate controller, Linda stopped to reflect on her career goals for the future. She felt that her experiences in corporate accounting, human resources, and as a member of the management team prepared her to move to the next level – running her own business.
Why dogs? Linda has always had a soft spot in her heart for her furry companions, from the mix breed that kindly tolerated her as a toddler to the two dogs that she has today, they have all been special members of her family.
When Linda learned about Central Bark Doggy Day Care, she knew it was meant to be. She loves the way the dogs blossom in day care becoming better family members and canine citizens. She also loves the synergy Central Bark has with the local rescue groups. If she can save a dog’s life by hosting an adopt-a-thon or fostering a dog until a home is found, she can also enrich the life of the human who adopts the dog. What could be more fulfilling?
Linda is certified in Pet First Aid, attends seminars on dog behavior, and assists the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
Pictured with Linda are Buffy, her 15 year old Cockapoo and Cooper, an Australian Shepherd puppy that was rescued from the Appalachian Mountains. Not pictured is Chuck, her significant other, who has been extremely supportive.
