Meet Ruggy and Shag! Ruggy is a three year old golden doodle who has been coming to Central Bark since July 2009. His younger brother Shag (who turned one in September) has joined his brother for the past year and together the two are oodles of doodle fun.
Ruggy is very down to earth and a pack pleaser! You can see the wisdom behind his eyes and he’s very well behaved and gentle with the handlers. However, Ruggy has no problem taking down his little brother (in a “ruggy-esque” gentle fashion of course).
Shag’s personality is a little more care free and wild. He loves to explore, is very smart and helps new dogs overcome their shyness! You can’t help but smile when you look at Shag’s irresistible cute face! Although they are both very social, most of the time you will see Shag shadowing behind Ruggy.
The first thing they like to do when heading outside is go straight to the slide and hop on top. From here they can watch their furry friends come out for play time. When it’s time to come in for nap time or end of the day, if Shag goes through the gate first, he will quickly turn around and not move until Ruggy comes through.
As Ruggy gallops towards us, Shag is by his side, jumping up on him still wanting to play. These two fabulous doodles bring us pure delight every time they are here. Congratulations Ruggy and Shag… you two definitely earned the April 2012 title!
