The Carol’s and staff are great. They take excellent care of the facility and most importantly the pets in their stay. I’ve had experiences with a few boarding facilities. By far, Central Bark Danbury has been the best experience. I think my dogs had a better time there than they do at home. I have found a home away from home for my pets at Central Bark Danbury.
Central Bark Danbury provided an exceptional experience for our pup, Scooby. From the moment we boarded him for a week, we felt assured that he was in loving and attentive hands. The staff treated Scooby with genuine care and kindness, ensuring all his needs were met. Their dedication and warmth made this the best boarding experience for both us and our dog. We are truly grateful for their outstanding service. We are happy paw-rents.
I booked an overnight/nail trim to see how my chihuahua would do. I picked up a happy dog. Her nails are nicely trimmed and they don’t have rough cut edges which is a nice touch. I appreciate the care they took with my sweet girl.
Ps: this was a first experience for my pup. She has not been boarded before.
We are very pleased with Central Bark daycare. Charlie can’t get in there fast enough when we pull into the parking lot. We like that the day is structured verses free play all day. Also impressed by how clean the place is, and Charlie never comes home smelling like a dog 😊🐶
Central Bark in Danbury, CT is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, Carol and her team greets you with such warmth and enthusiasm that you instantly know your dog is in great hands. Drop-off is always smooth and welcoming, and it truly feels like the staff is just as excited to see my dog as he is to be there. Picking him up is just as great—the staff is always friendly, happy to see you, and ready with updates. You can tell they genuinely care about every dog that comes through the door.
The biggest sign of how great Central Bark is… My dog Shaw goes crazy with excitement the moment he realizes it’s a daycare day. He knows exactly where he’s going and can’t wait to get there. That peace of mind is priceless.
I couldn’t recommend Central Bark Danbury enough. Carol and her team is incredible, the energy is positive, and they treat your dog like family. 🐾
We boarded our Boston Terrier, George, at Central Bark Danbury for 2 weeks while we traveled. Carol and her team took such good care of him. George showed no signs of stress or anxiety upon our return. George is a finicky eater, and I was concerned he wouldn’t eat while we were gone, but Carol worked with him and got him to eat each day. I feel Very comfortable and satisfied with the care they provided. George goes to Daycare each Monday and comes home quite happy. I’m really grateful for everyone at Central Bark Danbury.
With a variety of training solutions available, training costs depend upon what kind of training you and your dog need.
Central Bark® offers everything you need to help you train your new puppy or older dog. Including group classes and Training Tutor sessions that can take place during day care. Our expert training and classes help you, and your dog learn and bond together.
What kinds of behaviors and commands can my dog learn with a Training Tutor?
Our trainers can help your dog learn a variety of essential life skills and behaviors during their one-on-one sessions. These include fundamental commands like sit, stay, down, wait, and leave-it, as well as more specific skills such as calm door and gate etiquette and relaxed loose-leash walking. The training is tailored to help your dog become a well-behaved and confident member of the family.
How are staff trained and what behavior management tools do they use in a playgroup?
Our staff is trained in dog body language and positive playgroup management techniques so they can respond proactively to help avoid issues between dogs. These tools include praise, treats, and work on important Group Play Skills daily like name recall, group sits, and going calmly in and out of doorways and gates. If a dog ever becomes overstimulated during play (just like kids do on the playground sometimes) we use these practiced skills to help redirect dogs into more desired behaviors (like coming to us and offering a sit for a treat) which gives the dog a chance to reset and calm down. When needed, we also utilize play breaks (a short rest in an individual crate) or in-group leash walks if a dog needs a little more help to bring their energy levels back down.
