Training Tutor
Personalized one-on-one training sessions during day care visits help your dog develop important skills and behaviors like name recall, sit, stay, down, wait, leave-it, door and gate control, and loose-leash walking. Excellent for your dog and easy for you! Your dog will come home tired and well-socialized, with the training and skills they need to be a well-behaved member of your family.
One-on-One Enrichment
Personalized One-on-One Enrichment sessions give your dog the extra attention they love and the freedom to use their senses and safely explore their instincts through interactive toys, puzzles, and games. It’s fun and rewarding and exercise their bodies and minds and engage their senses. Add complexity with fitness and agility equipment.
Rest Period Enrichment
Your dog gets to relax and recharge in their own private space with calming interactive toys and healthy food pairings tailored to their preferences and diet. It promotes physical and mental relaxation which can help them achieve a healthy balance of play, learning, and rest. It can also help them become more comfortable in crates by building positive associations.

| Basic Life Skills Grow your hands-on training and management skills with your dog, no matter their age! You’ll work on developing strong foundations for important life skills like recall, loose-leash walking, stationary behaviors, and relaxation around distractions. *This class is for dogs of all ages. *Vaccinations required (DHPP, Rabies (depending on age), and Bordetella). *This class is not suitable for dogs who are reactive to other dogs or people. | Coming Soon |
| Intermediate Life Skills Continue developing all the important life skills that you laid the foundations for in the Basic Life Skills class. You’ll start to combine your skills to mimic real-life scenarios, with more training challenges in class and at home! | Advanced Life Skills Take your life skills to the next level! You’ll compete with your classmates in fun training challenges and continue to strengthen your relationship with your dog as you develop your skill set together. This class is a great steppingstone to begin preparing you and your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. We have been part of the Central Bark Danbury family since the very beginning, bringing our girl there at just 12 weeks old and watching her grow into the happy, social 1½-year-old she is today!
The socialization she gets with dogs of all sizes and personalities has been wonderful, and she absolutely loves the attention, care, and affection she receives from the team throughout the day. We’ve also appreciated the convenience of their grooming and boarding services, especially during our recent week-long trip in July when our girl needed a little extra TLC.
About five days into her stay, her nervous tummy got the best of her, and Carol and the team walked into quite a messy guest suite. Without hesitation, they cleaned everything up and cared for her as if she were their own. Carol even made her a special chicken-and-rice meal to help settle her stomach. Wanting to make sure everything was okay, she tried to arrange for a mobile vet visit, and when that wasn’t available, she personally took our girl to our family veterinarian in the next town over.
After the appointment, Carol brought her back to Central Bark, moved her into an upgraded suite with extra comforts, and made sure she received plenty of snuggles and reassurance. Thankfully, all of her tests came back normal, and the vet determined it was anxiety related. Before long, she was eating, drinking, playing, and back to her happy self.
As pet parents, getting a call that your furry family member is in distress while you’re away is heartbreaking. But Carol kept us informed every step of the way, reassuring us throughout the entire process and treating our girl with incredible compassion and care.
We are so grateful to have a Central Bark family we can trust and rely on. Thank you, Carol, and thank you, Central Bark Danbury, for going above and beyond. We couldn’t ask for a better place for our girl!
We have recently left Luna for 7 days of boarding and we felt at ease and confident that she would get her medications and she would be treated with patience and care. We could not recommend Central bark more!!!
When I drop off my dog Mia in the mornings, they call her by her name and I can tell my dog loves being there. The owner, Carol is super nice, kind and communicative. I love their daily daycare reports with photos of your dog and a small blurb of what your dog was up to that day.
