We bring our seven year old anxious dog to Central Bark once a week, she has really loved it and has benefitted greatly from the interaction with the other dogs and the wonderful staff. Prior to Central Bark we had not tried daycare because of how anxious our dog had been around other dogs but this has really helped Luna and she is excited to get in the car and go every week!
We have recently left Luna for 7 days of boarding and we felt at ease and confident that she would get her medications and she would be treated with patience and care. We could not recommend Central bark more!!!

We have been part of the Central Bark Danbury family since the very beginning, bringing our girl there at just 12 weeks old and watching her grow into the happy, social 1½-year-old she is today!
The socialization she gets with dogs of all sizes and personalities has been wonderful, and she absolutely loves the attention, care, and affection she receives from the team throughout the day. We’ve also appreciated the convenience of their grooming and boarding services, especially during our recent week-long trip in July when our girl needed a little extra TLC.
About five days into her stay, her nervous tummy got the best of her, and Carol and the team walked into quite a messy guest suite. Without hesitation, they cleaned everything up and cared for her as if she were their own. Carol even made her a special chicken-and-rice meal to help settle her stomach. Wanting to make sure everything was okay, she tried to arrange for a mobile vet visit, and when that wasn’t available, she personally took our girl to our family veterinarian in the next town over.
After the appointment, Carol brought her back to Central Bark, moved her into an upgraded suite with extra comforts, and made sure she received plenty of snuggles and reassurance. Thankfully, all of her tests came back normal, and the vet determined it was anxiety related. Before long, she was eating, drinking, playing, and back to her happy self.
As pet parents, getting a call that your furry family member is in distress while you’re away is heartbreaking. But Carol kept us informed every step of the way, reassuring us throughout the entire process and treating our girl with incredible compassion and care.

We absolutely love Central Bark! The staff is caring, professional, and genuinely treats every dog like family. Our dog especially enjoys the supervised group playtime and comes home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for every time. The facility is clean, safe, and well organized, and we always feel confident knowing our pup is in great hands. They also have a great grooming facility as well. It’s important to note that Central Bark is structured to give your dog sufficient play time and rest periods. They also make sure each dog is compatible in their own play groups, which is very important to us. The highlight of our pup’s stay is receiving a text with pictures of our dogs, “smiling” and describing what a wonderful time they’re having. Carol not only knows your dog but knows the humans too! Central Bark is highly recommended to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and fun environment for their dog!! We and our dogs are very happy with them!

We had our Great Pyrenees mix Luna stay at Central Bark Danbury for Stay-and-Play over an extra long weekend. It was great experience. Our Loonie Toonie loved her time there, she was given lots and lots of love and individual play time and she always had a smile on her pup face. Drop off and pick up were very well organized. We will be back next time out family travels. Thank you, Carol and the staff! ❤️
