Meet Phoebe! Phoebe is a three year old Chesapeake Bay retriever who has been playing at Central Bark since November 2011. Phoebe is another client who started as a young pup. It’s been an absolute delight watching her blossom into the beauty that she is today. Below are some more fun tidbits about Phoebe:
- Phoebe LOVES the water. She tried out for the US Olympic diving team but was told that dogs cannot be on the team. Phoebe is currently working with a lawyer on a discrimination case.
- Phoebe insists if she had the leading role in Water World instead of Kevin Costner, it would have been a blockbuster.
- She plans on heading east and visiting Chesapeake Bay to get in touch with her roots.
- Phoebe’s favorite movie is Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She has tried unsuccessfully to reenact the infamous Phoebe Cates bikini scene.
- She doesn’t charge any of her friends for the many kisses she gives, hence her nickname “Freebie.”
- Phoebe’s favorite song is “Smelly Cat.”
- Her favorite TV show is Baywatch because of the water… and David Hasselhoff. Her parents get frustrated because the DVR is 90% full of Baywatch reruns and Phoebe refuses to erase them.
