Meet Gladiola (aka Gladdie) and Poppy! These two adorable mini golden doodles have been making Fridays fun at the Bark since October 2014. Gladdie is four years old and Poppy is two and these two sisters love each other and love life. They are sweet, sassy, stylish and smart. In their spare time they like to photograph exotic birds and brush each other’s hair. Below are some more fun tidbits on these sweet pups:
- Last Halloween they wanted to dress up like celebrity sisters. Gladdie wanted to be Mary Kate and Ashley Olson and Poppy wanted to be Beyonce and Solange Knowles. Neither one of them would give in so they wound up dressing up as a salt and pepper set.
- Upon entering the play group they like to yell out “Flower Power” and throw rose petals in the air before hopping on the playgroup equipment.
- Gladdie and Poppy are avid gardeners and won first prize for their tulips at the Midwest Gardening Expo. They wanted to get their right front paw tattooed green but mom said no.
- They are very proud of their golden doodle lineage and get offended when people ask them if they are cockapoos.
- As avid gardeners, the girls were excited to watch the movie “Flowers in the Attic” on Netflix. It was not what they were expecting and have had nightmares ever since. They are currently working on a rewrite of the movie with the plot consisting of them actually planting flowers in an attic…for two hours.
- Poppy dreams of becoming an opera singer one day (she practices her skills whenever dad picks her up). Gladdie plans on being a yoga instructor/life coach and will tour with Poppy once she gets famous.
