Congrats, Jazz & Rosie!

Meet Jazz and Rosie! They are two adorable Tibetan terriers who both started life on the rough side. A little over a year ago, Jazz’s dad noticed a large lump on his shoulder. Upon visiting the vet, he was given the bad news that Jazz had lymphoma which had spread throughout his body. The prognosis was not good. Jazz’s parents, however, were not ready to give up the fight and they immediately started chemotherapy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The monthly trips up North were obviously a lot to deal with but it paid off and Jazz has been cancer free for four months now!!!! His sister Rosie, albeit, in great health, also had some trouble from the start. She was a breeder dog that was rescued from a loveless environment once she was no longer needed. It was obvious from the start that Rosie led a VERY sheltered life. When she first arrived home she was terrified of the tile floor and it took a long time for her to do her b usiness outside of a cage [in a yard]. This was probably the first time she got to venture outside on her own. In addition, she has a very hoarse bark because the breeder removed her vocal cords. Today, life is much “rosie-er” for Jazz and Rosie. They have the kindest parents who are true animal lovers and we get to see them at Central Bark 4 – 5 times a week. They are living the good life…and they deserve it! Jazz is a little more reserved than Rosie, and prefers to be more of a hall monitor in pack. When he is not directing traffic and monitoring play, he will jump in for a game of chase. He is super excited when he sees Mom or Dad and loves to tell them all about his day at Central Bark. Rosie is a sweet angel and loves to play with her fellow gal pals, especially Sally, Snickers and Morgan. Jazz and Rosie, we are so happy that you wound up with such a wonderful family! We adore you both and you brighten our days at Central Bark. Congratulations Mr. & Miss June!
