Once upon a time, back in February 2007, a nice lady brought her shy and nervous jack russell terrier, named Fergi, to Central Bark for daycare. We weren’t sure how little Fergi would do in this environment but we were confident there was an active little girl in there and we were willing to give it a try. Her first day at Central Bark was no surprise; Fergi stayed in the corner most of the morning and took a few sniffs here and there. As the weeks progressed, her time spent in the corner grew shorter and shorter. She was starting to feel more comfortable and at one point we all jumped for joy when we saw Fergi actually play instead of run away. Fast forward to today and you will see a confident and happy jack russell who can’t wait for Thursdays at Central Bark! Mama Fran has told us how much more social Fergi is outside of Central Bark, when going for walks or meeting new dogs in the neighborhood. Fergi should be an inspiration to all those doggies out there that are shy and not yet socialized. You are quite the social butterfly Fergi and very much deserve the title of "Dog of the Month." Congratulations Miss July!
