Welcome To Central Bark Sussex – Dog Day Care Services

Our beloved furry friends occupy a unique corner within our hearts. Recognizing the significance of ensuring their utmost well-being, offering them a fulfilling life is paramount. Nonetheless, fulfilling all their requirements can pose a challenge. This is precisely where Central Bark emerges as a solution.

Our mission is to provide love, care, and holistic growth for your beloved canine. With Central Bark Sussex, your dog enjoys secure, fun-filled days with companions, giving you peace of mind.

Our philosophy, known as “Whole Dog Care“, is centered on fostering and elevating your dog’s complete vitality and welfare throughout its lifetime. At the core of our philosophy resides our Enrichment Dog Day Care initiative.

However, our range of services extends far beyond this – encompassing dog boarding, bathing, grooming, a supply marketplace, training, and beyond. Our objective is to facilitate the shared pursuit of an enriched existence for both you and your canine companion.

We deeply understand that dogs represent cherished family members, not just mere companions. As fellow dog caregivers, we treat your dog like family.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to Doggy Day Care?

Once you have enrolled, we will need a copy of your dog’s vaccination records, which you can upload to your online account or bring with you on your scheduled first day. We also ask that your dog comes in on a regular 6-foot flat leash (no retractable or flexi-leads in the lobby) and a quick-release collar. Not sure what a quick-release collar is? No problem! We’ll be happy to show you on your first day. If your dog usually wears a harness while walking, you’re welcome to bring that as well.

If your dog typically eats a midday meal, you can bring it in an airtight container clearly labeled with your dog’s first and last names.

How do you crate train a dog?

For dogs, being comfortable in a crate is a life skill that is incredibly useful for them and their owners. If you have ever traveled with your dog or had the unfortunate experience of an overnight stay at the vet, knowing your dog is comfortable in a crate is immeasurably comforting.

Crate training can take just days or a few months, based on your dog’s age, temperament, and past experiences with crates. The two keys to successful crate training are to keep the experience positive and go slowly.

When your puppy is not in their crate, keep the door open and reward them every time they choose to enter, even if you didn’t ask them to enter it. When crating your puppy, give them a safe enrichment item (like a stuffed Kong) that will keep them busy and allow them to self-soothe while confined. Remember that crate training should take place in a series of small, slow steps that will help your puppy become more comfortable.

Central Bark® offers everything you need to help you care for your new puppy. Our Enrichment Day Care gives puppies all the socialization, exercise, mental stimulation, and rest they need for a lifetime of happiness with you and your family. We also offer expert training and classes so you and your puppy can learn and bond together.

How Does the Staff Manage Dogs With Different Energy Levels or Personalities in the Playgroups?

Our dog socialization day care is built on a unique system of “flexible playgroups” to ensure a safe and positive social environment for every dog. We carefully match your dog with friends based on their age, personality, size, and play style, creating a balanced and stress-free environment. This is especially beneficial for day care for dogs with anxiety or shy puppies, as it provides a low-pressure way for them to build confidence and have a great time.

Are there outdoor play areas?

Central Bark® has outdoor facilities complete with swimming pools and cooling systems for the summer.
