About Central Bark Oak Creek
In September 2024, Team LB LLC proudly took ownership of Central Bark Oak Creek, ushering in an exciting new chapter for our daycare. The LLC name Team LB stands for “Team Lady Black” – honoring the Black family: owner Koren, her daughter Winnefred, chosen family Marisa, and their beloved dogs – Macaroni, Cheese, Rosie, Pluto, and Ophelia.
Koren’s Journey: Koren has always dreamed of owning a dog daycare. With years of experience as a devoted client, she understands what creates a welcoming and enriching environment for dogs and their families. After a successful career in business intelligence and marketing, Koren seized the opportunity to turn her passion into reality when Central Bark Oak Creek became available.
Meet Winnefred: Winnefred, Koren’s daughter, is a talented junior high student who enjoys robotics and drone racing. While she’s not yet working directly with dogs, she contributes as an evening cleaner and occasionally helps at the front desk, where her enthusiasm and friendly smile brighten everyone’s day.
The Team LB Dogs: Macaroni the Bernedoodle, Cheese the Mini Schnauzer, and Rosie O’Donnell Sally Jessy Raphael the Victorian Bulldog, are the heart of Team LB. They inspire everything we do and remind us of the joy dogs bring to our lives.
Our Vision: Under Korens ownership, Central Bark Oak Creek is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where every dog is treated like family. We look forward to continuing to create enriching experiences that support the well-being and happiness of every pup that walks through our doors!
Meet The Team
Kristine
Manager
Kristine joined Central Bark Oak Creek in March 2025 as a part-time handler, bringing her background in customer service, management, and HR. Her passion and skills quickly stood out, leading to her promotion to manager in May. At home, she’s mom to two pups—Tetra and Jinx—and two kids, one into football and the other into dance and books. Kristine is dedicated to creating the best experience for dogs, families, and staff, and her love for this work shines through daily.
Marisa
Assistant Manager
Marisa’s Central Bark journey began in 2016 at the Milwaukee location, where she cared for Koren’s dogs, Macaroni and Cheese. During the pandemic, she became Koren’s household assistant and part of the family. In Aug 2025, she joined Oak Creek with Koren and her daughter, Winnefred. At home, Marisa loves her two pups, Pluto Alan and Ophelia Jean. With strong organizational skills and a passion for dogs, she aspires to be a trainer and open her own rescue.
Luke
Morning Lead Handler
Luke’s lifelong love of animals led him to this work, where he finds joy in caring for dogs and watching them grow. He especially loves welcoming new pups, helping them settle in, and seeing their confidence bloom. At home, he has Ryder, a bloodhound mix, plus two cats, and he’s a devoted uncle to his sister’s kids. Luke’s kindness, consistency, and heart shine through daily, making him an invaluable part of the Central Bark Oak Creek team.
Brittany
Dog Groomer
Britany started her Central Bark journey as a handler in March of 2024. She completed her grooming education at the end of February 2025 and immediately got to work, with a full grooming calendar. When potty training your pup, consistency is key. It’s crucial to establish a routine, practice positive reinforcement, supervise your puppy (especially when potty training), and avoid punishing your puppy when mistakes happen.
Potty training a puppy to eliminate outside can take just a few weeks or several months. But it will go more quickly if your training routine is consistent, and you’re consistent about taking your puppy outside every few hours.
Central Bark® offers everything you need to help you train your puppy. We offer expert training and classes so you and your puppy can learn and bond together.
