May Pupdates!

May is here, and things are in full swing at Central Bark Oak Creek. With warmer weather, more outdoor play, and a lot of great energy in the building, it’s a fun time of year for both the dogs and our team.

This month, we’re excited to share what’s ahead, from our Flower Power Puzzle Challenge and spring enrichment to welcoming new pack members and highlighting Raz as our Dog of the Month. We also have updates on training opportunities, Puppy Hour, and everything else happening around the building.

As always, our focus stays the same: creating safe, structured, and engaging days for every dog while supporting you as part of your routine.

We’re excited to keep growing during this exciting time, and we’re so glad you’re here with us.

If you love us as much as we love having you as a part of the Central Bark Oak Creek Community, please take a moment to rate and review us on Google or Facebook! Or tell a friend, and get a free day of day care with your successful referral!

Raz is truly a walking, bouncing smile.

This happy Keeshond brings such a fun and uplifting energy with him every time he walks through the doors. He has a great balance to his day, spending time playing with his friends and then slowing things down for snuggles and connection.

Raz is always up for a One-on-One enrichment session and jumps right into the experience with enthusiasm and curiosity. He keeps us laughing with his expressive face and that silly, excited bark that we’ve all come to know so well.

He’s a joy to have in the group and brings a little extra happiness wherever he goes. Congratulations, Raz! 🐾💜🥰

Spring-themed rest period enrichment (RPE) continues throughout May, featuring frozen fruit treats that give pups a refreshing and enriching experience during their rest time. We’re also offering a spring-themed One-on-One enrichment session for dogs who enjoy more focused, individualized engagement.

Our May challenge is all about tapping into your dog’s natural problem-solving skills. The Flower Power Puzzle Challenge encourages dogs to use their nose, curiosity, and persistence to uncover hidden treats in a fun, flower-inspired puzzle.

It’s a great way to engage their brain while building confidence and focus, and every dog approaches it a little differently, which makes it even better to watch.

Entry is $5, and winners will receive a free day of daycare or a $35 store credit.

Keep an eye out for a new round of Puppy Preschool and additional training classes coming soon. And don’t forget, Puppy Hour is every Saturday from 1–2pm, a great opportunity for young pups to build confidence and start socializing in a safe, structured environment.

We’re so excited to introduce some new furry faces who joined us in the month of April!

Tiny is truly tiny and mighty, bringing big personality in a very small package.

Rocket is already making himself at home – and as pack member Harley Quinn’s new baby brother, he’s got a great guide showing him the ropes.

Winston is a sweet pup who loves everyone! He started with us in Puppy Hour and has now joined his friends in daycare.

Isla and Wally are a one-of-a-kind brother-sister duo – a spunky senior corgi paired with an even spunkier tripod Shih Tzu.

Finnley may look very serious, but this little cockapoo couldn’t be more playful once he gets going.

Sven is a very handsome, giant Alaskan Malamute puppy who is also making the transition from Puppy Hour into daycare.

And keeping it in the family, silly, playful Camper joins us as the cousin of our longtime pack member, Granger.

We’re so happy to have all of them as part of the pack and can’t wait to watch them continue to grow, play, and settle in.

There are so many new dogs joining daycare. How does that affect my dog and their day?

This is a great question, and it’s something we think about carefully as we grow.

We always keep our playgroups at 15 dogs or less. As more dogs join, it doesn’t mean bigger groups – it means more groups. That gives us even more flexibility to match dogs based on play style, personality, and energy level, which leads to safer and more balanced interactions.

It also allows us to bring in more staff. More dogs means more team members dedicated to caring for, supervising, and getting to know your dog throughout the day.

For you, it helps us keep things consistent. Growth allows us to maintain our current pricing while continuing to invest in the level of care and structure your dogs receive.

To help everything run smoothly, communication is key. Let us know about any changes to your dog’s schedule, plan ahead for grooming appointments, or let us set up a recurring schedule for you.

We’re excited to keep growing during this exciting time, and we’re so glad you’re here with us.
