April Pupdates!

Spring is here, and we’re heading into April with longer days and lots of wagging tails at Central Bark Oak Creek.

As the weather starts to shift, our yards take on a different feel. There’s more time outside, new things to explore, and a little extra energy all around.

We’re looking forward to a fun month ahead with spring enrichment, new training classes, and plenty of time with your pups.

Thank you for being part of our pack! We’re glad you’re here. 🌸🐾

If you love us as much as we love having you as a part of the Central Bark Oak Creek Community, please take a moment to rate and review us on Google or Facebook! Or tell a friend, and get a free day of day care with your successful referral!

Daisy has completely stolen our hearts this month, and we’re so excited to celebrate him as our April Dog of the Month!

This sweet boy brings such a joyful energy to daycare, and his happy bark is one of our favorite sounds to hear. The moment he arrives, you can tell he’s ready for a great day with his friends and our team.

Daisy is a true sweetheart in group. He’s social, easygoing, and does a great job with the other dogs. Whether he’s playing with his pals or spending time with the handlers, he’s always right in the middle of things.

We absolutely love having Daisy as part of our pack and are so glad he’s here with us.

Congratulations, Daisy! 🌼🐾💜

We’re leaning into spring this month with activities and enrichment designed to keep your pup active, engaged, and having fun.

Here’s what we have going on:

This month’s enrichment focuses on exploring new scents, textures, and problem-solving activities that encourage natural behaviors and build confidence.

Our featured one-on-one enrichment is a combination treat scavenger hunt and Easter Egg Sniffari, where pups can use their noses to search for and discover spring scents, while finding treats hidden throughout a spring-themed setup.

We’ll also be offering spring-themed frozen fruit RPEs, giving dogs a refreshing and engaging treat during their rest periods.

This month’s challenge puts your pup’s focus and coordination to the test.

Dogs will have the chance to catch treats tossed by our handlers. Each participant gets six chances, and their best catch count will determine their score.

The winner will receive a free day of daycare or the equivalent in store credit.

We’re currently enrolling for our next round of training classes starting Saturday, April 11:

  • Basic Life Skills – Saturdays from 10:30–11:30 AM
  • Puppy Preschool – Saturdays from 12:00–1:00 PM

And don’t forget, Free Puppy Hour is available every Saturday at 1:00 PM for safe, supervised puppy socialization.

We’re so excited to introduce some new furry faces who joined us in the month of March!

Winston, the baby Corgi, is having the time of his life and brings so much fun energy to the group.

Archie, our baby Golden Retriever, is really coming out of his shell and starting to make new friends. It’s been great watching his confidence grow.

Jaxx, a sweet puppy, has also joined us and is settling in nicely with the group.

Sully, a spirited Australian Cattle Dog, has joined the pack as well and brings a fun, energetic presence to the yard.

We also welcomed Taiyo, a handsome young Golden, who joined his friends Frodo and Lambeau in daycare. It’s always nice to see those friendships continue here.

We’re so happy to welcome each of them to our Central Bark family and can’t wait to watch their confidence and friendships continue to grow.

This month’s featured write-up, Less Stress, More Tail Wags, focuses on something many dog parents deal with every day—the mental load of keeping up with everything their dog needs.

It’s not just making sure they get exercise. It’s grooming, nail trims, enrichment, and trying to stay on top of it all while balancing everything else in your schedule.

In the article, we talk about how having a routine and the right support can make a big difference. When things like grooming, nail trims, and enrichment are built into your dog’s daycare routine, it helps take some of that pressure off and keeps everything more consistent.

Our goal is to partner with you through whole dog care—supporting your dog’s routine so they’re not just active, but balanced, engaged, and well cared for.

See how we can partner with you to help your dog live their best life.
