About Central Bark Mequon
Hi, my name is Ray Djokic and I am the new owner of the Grayslake, IL (2021), Milwaukee Downtown (2022), Wauwatosa (2023), Milwaukee Eastside (2023), and Mequon (2024) Central Bark Stores.
I have such a passion for both business and dogs that I always knew one day I would combine both these passions and start this type of business. My background is in franchising with two other concepts (Jimmy John’s and College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving) so naturally it’s the route I wanted to go with when finding a doggy day care.
Upon learning about Central Bark, I knew on day one I wanted to be a part of this system. They exceeded my expectations, and in my opinion separated themselves from any other concept in this industry. After meeting the team and the brains behind this system it only solidified my decision.
My goal is to combine everything I have learned in my past 16 years in franchising from all the great brands I have been a part of to make this place the best place to bring your dogs. I am so excited and can’t wait to meet all of the parents and pets that walk through our doors!
I know if both pets and parents are leaving our location with a smile, our team has done their job.
Cheers!

Our Family Photo Album
Central Bark Mequon has been an outstanding place for our dog. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the staff genuinely cares about the animals in their care. Everyone is friendly, professional, and takes the time to get to know each dog’s personality, which gives us complete confidence when leaving our pup for the day.
The facility is clean, well-maintained, and provides a safe environment where dogs can socialize, exercise, and have fun. We always appreciate the updates and can tell our dog comes home happy, tired, and excited to return.
The level of care and attention they provide truly sets them apart. Whether it’s daycare, boarding, or grooming, you can tell the team is passionate about what they do and treats every dog like family.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy dog daycare or boarding facility in the Mequon area, I highly recommend Central Bark Mequon. It’s a place you can feel good about leaving your pet, knowing they’ll be well cared for and loved while you’re away.
Frequently Asked Questions
Dog day care can be a great fit for dogs who benefit from a structured routine that includes supervised play, enrichment, learning, rest, and social experiences. Every dog is different, so factors such as age, personality, energy level, play style, comfort around other dogs and people, and individual needs can help determine whether day care is the right fit. At Central Bark, we get to know each dog individually and use our enrollment and assessment process to help create an experience that supports their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Central Bark gets to know each dog individually and thoughtfully matches dogs for social experiences using factors such as size, age, energy level, personality, and play style. This individualized approach helps our teams create play experiences designed to support each dog’s comfort, engagement, and success.
Before your dog’s first day, make sure required vaccination records and account information are up to date. Bring your dog on a regular leash with the collar and identification requested by your local Central Bark. Your local team can confirm any additional items needed for your dog’s visit.
Central Bark offers positive reward-based dog training options designed to help dogs build practical skills, strengthen communication, and learn behaviors that support everyday life. Depending on your Central Bark location, training options may include Training Tutor sessions during day care and boarding, group training classes, and other training programs for puppies and adult dogs. Because training services vary by location, contact your local Central Bark or visit its website to explore available options and find the right training experience for you and your dog.
