Meet our champion swimmer and August Dog of the Month Laker. Laker is a 10 year old English Springer Spaniel with the energy of a puppy, the leaping skills of a horse, and a personality that keeps on giving. He and his parents have been a part of the Central Bark Mequon pack for nearly seven years with Laker and their previous dog Nellie, who has sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. Laker may be ten years old, but don’t’ let him fool you, he still frolics about as if he’s three! Most days before daycare, Laker gets to romp around the family farm, with his tongue hanging and little tail wagging. Oh the fun adventures he gets into on the farm! Not only does Laker love making friends with the horses on the farm, but he also makes doggy friends of all personalities and sizes with ease! Some of his girlfriends include Shaylee, Hennessey, Snuggles, and Lily D. He also LOVES wading around the pool with his guy friends, Sonny, Cooper S, and Luke F. They are a hoot to watch. When he’s not splashing around in the pool, he enjoys basking in the sun, playing leap frog, getting belly rubs, and sometimes even just tosses a toy to himself. When this guy goes home at the end of the day, he likes to do one last spring up in the air, as his farewell until next time. Laker stands out in so many ways that it’s not surprising that he was chosen as our dog of the month. Thank you and your family for your continuous years of loyalty.
