Meet Rory! Rory is a lovely three year old golden retriever who has been coming to Central Bark since May 2009. This beauty always has a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face when she comes through our doors on Thursdays. She greets everyone as if they were a long lost friend and her kind and sweet disposition makes her very popular amongst her furry peers. Rory is an integral part of the “Golden Girls,” a clique of four ladies who like to hang out together and discuss knitting and world events. The other golden mixes include Star, Madison and little Emma (who is actually a small black shitzu-poodle mix; but there’s no discrimination here!). The handlers like to come up with ideas of what the dogs would be doing if they were human and this is what they came up with Rory: – Rory would be an amazing baker. Sugar cookies with frosting would be her specialty. – She would make homemade Christmas stockings and take them to the children’s hospital. – Her favorite movie would be Mrs. Doubtfire and the TV show Golden Girls (of course). – Rory would belong to both a book club and a quilting club (she would be a regular at Hobby Lobby). – Her job would be a pre-school teacher. – Once a month Rory would let her hair down and go out with the girls for flirtinis and calamari. – Rory would be a huge advocate for saving the environment and drive a silver Toyota Prius.
