Ailey
Store Manager
Ailey began working at Central Bark Franklin as a dog handler in July 2023, then quickly climbed the ranks becoming our Store Manager in March of 2026. Central Bark is her favorite place to be because she loves working with the pups. She finds them smart, silly and enjoys getting to know each one! Ailey doesn’t currently have any pets but would love to get a Golden Retriever someday. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and painting pottery.
Makenna
Assistant Manager
Hello, my name is Makenna. I have been working at Central Bark since July of 2023. I love getting to know all of your pups and learning their unique personalities. I have two dogs, Scooby and Milo. I also have a cat named Mowgli. My favorite dog breed is beagles, but I might be biased since I own two. I have been an animal lover since I was young, and this is the perfect fit for me. In my free time I enjoy reading and painting pottery!

Our Family Photo Album
Ailey is so attentive and takes extra care to make sure each dog has its own great experience, unique to its personality and needs. To be able to walk in and have my dog greeted by name every single day is such a great feeling. They also post pictures of all of the pups every day on their Facebook page. It’s the highlight of my workday checking for the post and looking at how happy my dogs are that day (I call it “puppy time!”).
Dog Grooming is also a godsend that I can drop my dog off and kill two birds with one stone. First, my oldest used to need to go to the vet to get his nails trimmed. The girls at CB have such a good rapport with him, though, that THEY can trim his nails! The groomer is also very good. Whatever shampoo they use smells SO good, and I don’t bring home my pups smelling like wet dog. How awesome is it that I no longer have to schedule separate visits at other locations for these services.
All in all, I highly recommend anyone with a pup, no matter breed or age, bring them into Central Bark. Your dog will get so much fulfillment! Don’t believe me? Looks at how happy my dogs are while at Daycare.
Frequently Asked Questions
Dog boarding gives your dog a safe and comfortable place to spend the night when they can’t be home overnight. It can last for just one night or for a week or more at a time.
At Central Bark®, we offer Sleepovers to dogs enrolled in our Enrichment Day Care Program. Sleepovers at Central Bark® provide your dog a calm, relaxing sleepover in a place they can feel comfortable and loved. Because they’re in a familiar place, they can feel less stressed about being away from home (and so will you). A full day of Doggy Day Care is included with your sleepover stay.
Our Stay-n-Play program (available at participating locations) offers boarding for dogs that have not enrolled in our day care program. Each overnight guest gets a restful night’s sleep, followed by a day of play, exercise, and plenty of TLC from our staff. Stay-n-Play guests sleep and play in their own designated areas.
Positive reward-based techniques help puppies and dogs develop essential life skills and behaviors that will enrich their lives at home and day care. These methods set dogs up to succeed and reward them for performing desired behaviors. Rewards are tailored to the dog’s preferences and can include food treats, time to play with a favorite toy, or verbal praise.
After decades of experience using reward-based training, we know it’s the most humane and effective way of training dogs and addressing unwanted behaviors. It’s the best way to build a loving, trusting bond that enhances your relationship between you and your dog for a lifetime of happiness together.
At Central Bark®, our focus on positive reinforcement has never wavered. We continuously update our skills and policies to stay at the forefront of new advances in behavioral science and positive reinforcement techniques.
