May brings flowers, warming weather, and our new dog of the month – Casey! He is a mature and serious dog who mostly wants affection from his friends and a good view of the day’s play. A Lhaso Apso and Poodle mix, Casey reflects both breeds.
Lhaso Apsos were bred by Tibetan Buddhist monks to serve as monastery sentinels. Casey will often sit on his hind legs surveying the play group.
Poodles are known to be reserved with strangers and warm with friends. Casey shows this by literally leaping into the waiting arms of his favorite staff members at Central Bark. For an older guy, he’s got a heck of a vertical leap.
Casey’s mom, Terri, has been bringing him to Central Bark for five years, joining us for day care, sleepovers, and grooming. We are glad Lhaso Apsos are known to live into their early twenties as we love our May Dog of the Month – Casey!
