Our April Dog of the Month is the mysterious and exotic, yet always captivating, JAKE! Why mysterious? Because no one is quite sure of his origins…is he part St. Bernard…or is there some Basenji in his blood lines? Could his coloring be that of an Irish Wolfhound? His baffling brindle color hints at so many possible breeds…we will never know for sure. Ah, that is the mystery. Whatever he is, we know he is exceptionally brilliant. Afterall, he is a graduate of our Puppy 1 and Puppy 2 classes. (His handler for the classes was a very adept Junior Handler and we will most certainly hear more from Riley someday. Jake sees her daily since Riley is the daughter in his family.) Jake loves to retrieve! Throw it and he will get it! He is pictured with the goughnut and two retrievers in the background. He learned his Day Care Play Bow from his BFF, Oscar. Perhaps someday the mystery of Jake will be resolved. For the time being, we will just say, JAKE is the April Dog of the Month!
