September might be the end of summer for most, but our dog of the month, Nitro, is still playing like it will never end! Nitro is a super active black Labrador Retriever who will be 2 years old in November. Nitro wants to play with every dog who joins his play group. He enjoys coming to Central Bark. Sometimes, he even gets to spend time with his littermate, Max, who is also a guest.
Nitro is very social and loves the water. You can see both in these pictures as Nitro plays with Chuck the German Shepherd.
Labrador Retrievers have been the most popular dog breed in the United States for the past 25 years. This is likely due to their even temperament, friendly disposition, and high intelligence. This also leads to their common use as assistance dogs.
We are lucky to have lots of Labs at Central Bark and especially lucky Nitro’s mom, Mary, has chosen to share Nitro with us. Congratulations, Nitro!
