Every dog deserves a loving home, and October is the month we celebrate the ones still waiting for theirs. Because National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month is the perfect excuse to get together with fellow dog lovers, we’re teaming up with Lazy Dog Restaurant and the Naperville Area Humane Society for a fabulous evening event we’re calling Pints for Paws.
What Is Pints for Paws?
Pints for Paws is a community event at Lazy Dog Restaurant on Thursday, October 29, from 5 to 7 PM. Lazy Dog will donate 15% of all purchases made during the event to the Naperville Area Humane Society. That means a night out with your dog, your family, or your friends also helps local shelter dogs on their way to a new home.
Event Details
- Date: Thursday, October 29th
- Time: 5 to 7 PM
- Location: Lazy Dog Restaurant, 2436 Illinois Rte. 59, Naperville
What to Expect
Dogs are welcome, and we have planned plenty for everyone in the family.
For the dogs: Free pup cups, a Halloween costume contest, and a cute photo spot with a fun fall backdrop.
For kids and families: Kids can “adopt” their very own stuffed dog, complete with an adoption certificate. There are also Halloween coloring pages to keep little hands busy.
For dog owners: Fun swag from Lazy Dog and Central Bark.
A representative from the Humane Society will also be there with a dog looking for its forever home – and we’d love your help to match this friendly pup with a family!
Why We’re Doing This
At Central Bark Aurora–Fox Valley, we get to spend our days with dogs who are loved, and we know how lucky they are. Supporting the Naperville Area Humane Society is one small way we can support the broader dog community and help those unlucky dogs still looking for their families. We hope you will join us, and we would love to meet you and your dog.
Bring a Friend!
Invite your neighbors, your dog park friends, or the whole family. The more people who join us, the more we can give back to local shelter dogs.
