Meet The Pack Leaders!

Judi (w/ Mocha and Chachi)

Judi (w/ Mocha and Chachi)

Owner

Here’s Judi with Mocha and Chachi and Tascha inset into the picture. Not pictured is her significant other, Marty, who has been a great support person in helping Judi realize her dream.

Judi has always been an animal lover.   She got her first cat when she was 6 and was always bringing home strays, much to her father’s chagrin.  Judi’s passion for dogs didn’t  develop until she was able to stop traveling for work and get her first dog, Mocha in 1999.  Realizing that two dogs are much more fun than one, she got her second dog, Chachi, shortly thereafter.   Both are rescue dogs from a local animal shelter. Unfortunately, Mocha passed in 2007.   Judi decided to adopt another dog as a buddy for Chachi.   She rescued Tascha in 2007 so that Chachi would have a playmate.

While Judi enjoyed managing the sales plan, offices, budgets and people in the corporate world, she just couldn’t get enough of dogs.  She has volunteered at a local shelter for several years helping to clean kennels, socialize dogs, foster dogs, develop a dog assessment program with a team of volunteers, assist with various business aspects and participate on the board of directors.   Through this work, Judi realized that she needed to follow her passion for animals and do something with them, particularly dogs, and not just part time.  She decided to join the team and open her own Central Bark® franchise in Oswego, IL.

Judi looks forward to taking care of your dogs as if they were her own.

Dog of the Month!

Congrats, Oliver!

Oswego, IL February Dog of the Month!

Oliver is almost 4 years old (in April) and he is a Shepherd / Husky mix. Oliver’s been coming to Central Bark since September of 2009. Oliver does lots of tricks and he loves to show them off. While in group, he’ll sit, speak, lay down and roll over on command. He seems to really enjoy showing off what he can do. Oliver loves playing with Pierce most of all, but also enjoys anyone that will play with him, such as Kona, Shelby, Chloe, Maui, Max E., Payday and Remy. One of his favorite things is to jump in the big Little Tikes cube and sit at the top of the slide and when Pierce or another one of his buddies walks by he tries to get them to follow him by jumping down just in front of them to get them to chase him. Oliver can be stubborn at times, especially when jumping into the SUV to go home. He’d prefer not to and we have to find ways to make it really fun for him so he’ll get in the SUV to go home. We love having him here at Central Bark. Enjoy your time in the spotlight Oliver – you deserve it!
