Central Bark’s dog training helps to build confidence, manners, and lifelong skills using force-free, positive reinforcement methods. Our dog trainers offer classes for puppies and adults, from basic obedience to more advanced skills. Training can also be integrated into our dog day care for active learning, socialization, and mental enrichment. With individualized sessions and options during day care, pups learn through play, enrichment, and structure. The result? A calmer, happier dog with better habits at home.
Central Bark’s Free Puppy Hour starts your puppy’s socialization the right way. This safe, supervised play session helps puppies build confidence, social skills, and healthy play habits during their most important developmental stage (8-16 weeks). Guided by trained enrichment specialists, puppies explore new sights, sounds, and friends while burning energy and learning healthy habits. Pet parents also get expert training tips and support. It’s a fun, stress-free way to nurture a well-rounded, confident puppy — at no cost.

Jamie at Central Dog Bark did an amazing job grooming our senior Golden Retriever! She was so kind and patient grooming her while she laid down the entire time since it was too hard for her to stand The grooming was neat and thorough and you can tell Jamie truly loves pets.
It was our first visit, and when I picked her up she was calm and happy – so different from our previous groomer! Always hard leaving your pet but seeing how well she was cared for made me feel completely comfortable. Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about Central Bark. Our puppy, Brutus, goes here for doggy daycare while we are at work and he absolutely loves it. The excitement he shows just walking through the front door or seeing the staff says everything. You cannot fake that kind of happiness in a dog. Our puppy is almost three months old and leaving him anywhere for the first time was honestly nerve racking. Central Bark made the entire process feel safe and thoughtful. They did a behavioral assessment and placed him with dogs that matched his size, personality, and energy level. Another thing that sets them apart is that they go beyond basic daycare. They have helped us work on puppy biting, leash manners, and overall behavior. He has learned so much just by being in a structured environment with other dogs and with an attentive staff. When they say they offer enrichment, they genuinely mean it. We are extremely grateful for this business and every staff member there. They treat and love the dogs like they are their own and it shows in everything they do. The facility is also incredibly clean. We even take advantage of the puppy play hours, when we can, on Saturday mornings which are free and such a great bonus. You are getting so much more than a babysitter here. We feel very lucky to have found them and recommend them without hesitation.

Our two boxers, Dani and Cooper, go to Central Bark in Broadview Heights once a week for enrichment day care. They absolutely love it. Every Wednesday morning, they know it is Central Bark day and wait by the door ready to leave. We have always joked that the team there treats Dani and Cooper better than we do.
A few weeks ago, we boarded them, and Central Bark showed us just how much they truly care. On a Saturday evening around 6:00 p.m., Emilie called to let us know that Dani was having serious GI issues and that they were concerned. She first asked if our emergency contact could come pick Dani up, but he was with us. A little later, Emilie called back and said Jennifer, the owner, was willing to come pick Dani up herself and take her to the MedVet ER clinic.
Long story short, Emilie and Jennifer identified and managed what could have become a life-ending situation. Jennifer stayed with Dani well into the early morning hours to make sure she was cared for and Emilie took care of her until we were able to get home on Sunday.
We are writing this review to say thank you, but also to let others know that Central Bark went far above and beyond. They did the right things, for the right reasons, when it mattered most.
Thank you to Emilie, Jennifer, and the entire Central Bark team.
How can I be sure that the play space is clean, odor & disease-free, comfortable and safe for the stated capacity of the center?
Central Bark® is licensed and inspected by the Health Department regularly. We also clean and disinfect nightly, regardless of how many dogs have visited.
How long does it take to potty train a puppy?
When potty training your pup, consistency is key. It’s crucial to establish a routine, practice positive reinforcement, supervise your puppy (especially when potty training), and avoid punishing your puppy when mistakes happen.
Potty training a puppy to eliminate outside can take just a few weeks or several months. But it will go more quickly if your training routine is consistent, and you’re consistent about taking your puppy outside every few hours.
Central Bark® offers everything you need to help you train your puppy. We offer expert training and classes so you and your puppy can learn and bond together.
Do I need to bring bedding, toys, or treats for my dog?
Nope! We got you covered! Most dogs will not need any bedding for a single day of day care. If your dog is boarding with us, see our Sleepover Guidelines. As far as treats and toys, we have plenty! Please ask about which toy and treat products are available.
What are flexible playgroups?
Flexible playgroups allow us to match your dog with the social atmosphere and play schedule they can enjoy and benefit from most. This helps give them a healthy balance of play, rest, and learning and creates a safer social environment with a better quality of play. And our lower dog-to-staff ratios offer more individual attention, education, and love.
