Meet The Pack Leaders!

Nicole (w/ Chica Bonita, Jak & Jil)

Peggy (w/ Phoebe, Jackson, Zasu and Joey)

Owner

Peggy has been "all about dogs" her entire life. She grew up with a small pack, ranging in sizes from a Toy Poodle to a Saint Bernard. With a childhood filled with loving animals, it was logical that Peggy chose to focus on their health and well being by getting her BS degree in Animal Science from Purdue University and a MBA from Loyola University.

Her career choices concentrated on the importance of nutrition, fitness, and happiness of dogs. Her experiences in the pet food and animal health industry allowed her to acquire an inside look into the design, manufacturing, and marketing of pet foods.

Peggy's personal life has focused on the relationship she has with her dogs, and various ways to interact and work together. She is passionate about obedience training, competition, behavior modification and loves to take her Border Collies herding.

Peggy's career goals are now centered exclusively on dogs and their need for a fun place to be if parents busy lives cause them to be away from their beloved companions during the day. That place is dog day care as provided by Central Bark®!

Peggy is pictured with Phoebe, Jackson, Zasu and Joey. Not pictured is her equally adorable husband, Bruce.

Dog of the Month!

Congrats, Daisy

Broadview Heights February Dog of the Month!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL OF YOU AND TO OUR FEBRUARY DOG OF THE MONTH, DAISY! This is Daisy, a Goldendoodle, who is our February Dog of the Month - and our first calendar girl for the New Year! Perhaps you are saying, “She sure doesn’t look golden…” This is true. She is half Golden Retriever and half Poodle. The Poodle just happened to be black and those genes beat out the golden ones! Daisy came all the way from Salt Lake City, Utah. True to her roots, Daisy loves the snow so our sliding board turns into a ski hill when Daisy does her shushing! Her littermate lives out there with her Mother’s sister. The Poodle part in Daisy makes for an active and intelligent dog. Poodles always have an air of distinction about them. People hope that the non-shedding traits of a Poodle show up in their Poodle mixed breeds. The Golden Retriever part of Daisy makes her a loving, trusting, family-oriented dog and one of the most popular breeds in the United States. The Golden’s temperament and trainability makes for an ideal service dog, too. Goldens are excellent guide, assistance and search and rescue dogs. The Golden’s beautiful coat can range in colors from light to dark gold. It does require regular brushing, so here’s where that non-shedding Poodle part steps in and helps with that routine! Daisy loves to play at Central Bark. She also loves her other dog pals! She adores the slide almost as much as she adores her two human brothers, Clay and Josh. Kate, the mom of this group, likes Daisy’s shiny, healthy coat and Daisy looks forward to her grooming time at Central Bark. Kate and “Dad” Tony noticed early on that Daisy could be a bit bossy with her siblings. Kate worked hard training her and now she is out of those rebellious teenage years and is a proper young lady (well…most of the time.) Tony appreciated all Kate’s efforts, as he is the father of two boys and would not be happy with a Diva Dog! Daisy, you are welcoming in Valentine’s Day as the February Dog of the Month. Way to go! Stop and congratulate Daisy when you see her!
