Puppy Hour is a FREE supervised playtime for puppies at Central Bark® Poughkeepsie. It’s not just fun – it’s also really important for puppies to socialize between 8 and 16 weeks old. Socialization helps them feel comfortable around other animals, people, places, and activities.
You and your puppy can attend as many sessions as you like until your puppy turns a certain age. You can meet our staff, talk to our trainer and groomer, and see our facility. At Central Bark, we want to ensure your dog has the best life possible, and puppy socialization is a great way to start!

- Have fun playing off-leash with other vaccinated puppies of similar ages.
- Be watched over by an experienced caregiver to make sure all play is safe and okay.
- Meet new dogs, people, toys, places, and challenges.
- Get used to new and interesting challenges to help them socialize and learn at their age.

Rules & Requirements
- Puppies must be between 8 and 16 weeks old.
- You need to sign up beforehand.
- You need proof that your puppy has had their Bordetella and DHPP vaccines.
- Children with a dedicated adult are welcome to participate* There will be learning opportunities for children too!
- Follow CDC rules like staying apart and wearing masks.
- Bring a regular 6-foot leash (no retractable ones) and a quick-release collar. If your dog usually wears a harness, you can bring that too.
