Enrichment Dog Day Care
Our Family Photo Album
After I got my dog fixed he started to show some signs of aggression. We had to stop doggy day care. He was turning into a pup that made life very difficult for me. He couldn’t be around other dogs, the vet was a nightmare , unfortunately even my home was not relaxing. He was out of control.
We started working with the trainer Kai at central bark. He was full of helpful information ! After just one training and all of the knowledge he poured into us, we have seen such great improvement. Loki had a vet visit today which I was dreading like I usually do. It usually takes an army to hold him down and even then, they’re never able to do a full check up.. today the vet tech came out to get him and I told her hopefully today will be better since we’ve seen a change in him at the house. She suggested that they try to bring him in without me and if they need me she will come out..20 minutes later she came out with him and I was expecting the usual “he fought us off, we couldn’t complete the full exam” but instead she had a smile on her face and said he did amazing. They muzzled him for precaution , but he let her put it on without a problem, they completed a full exam and treated his ears while he sat there ! I was shocked .. For the first time in over a year he was throughly examined . Kai is amazing at what he does and we can’t wait to see him again ! The owner Denise is awesome ! She has worked with us from the very beginning , always offering help and support. & the staff are all so welcoming and caring. I recommend them to absolutely everybody with a dog !
If you know how stressful life can be with an out of control dog, then you understand just how big of a step this was for us today !

After decades of experience, we know that reward-based training is the most humane and effective way to train dogs and address unwanted behaviors. With reward-based training, you can build a loving, trusting bond that enhances your relationship with your dog for a lifetime of happiness.
Positive reward-based techniques help puppies and dogs develop essential life skills and behaviors that will enrich their lives at home and day care. These methods set dogs up to succeed and reward them for performing desired behaviors. Rewards are tailored to the dog’s preferences and include food treats, time to play with a favorite toy, or verbal praise.

At Central Bark a proactive approach to safety is woven right into the fabric of our program. That is why we require that all dogs enrolled in our Day Care program pass our behavior assessment and attend at least once per week. This helps us ensure that dogs are social with other dogs & people and remain comfortable with all aspects of our program. It also allows us to proactively staff so we can keep a dog to staff ratios low which also helps increase safety. Plus, play is ALWAYS monitored. Whether it’s a group of 2 dogs or 12 dogs, we never leave dogs unattended during group play.
Our top priority is the safety of every dog in our care. Our staff members are not only highly trained but also “fluent in dog speak,” which means they can read canine body language and behavior cues. Our rigorous dog day care safety protocols use a science-based positive reinforcement approach to constantly monitor and manage play. We believe in proactive and preventative care, working to de-escalate potential issues before they start, which is a key part of how dog day care handles disagreements and maintains a secure environment for all dogs.
The timeline for learning new behaviors and skills is as unique as every dog! Because each dog is an individual, with different learning histories, breed genetics, and preferences in reinforcers like treats and toys, there is no way to say for sure how long training will take. It’s also important to consider how much time each family has for daily training practice.
Whether you’re crate training, leash walking, or potty training your pup, consistency is key. It’s crucial to establish a routine, practice positive reinforcement, supervise your puppy (especially when potty training), and avoid punishing your puppy when mistakes happen.
Central Bark® offers everything you need to help you train your dog, with expert training and classes so you and your pup can learn and bond together.
