Let’s start this story with Dana, the dedicated owner of “Incredible Pups Rescue” in Poughkeepsie, NY, who collaborated with the family operating Central Bark Poughkeepsie Dog Daycare, the Donofrio’s, Denise, Ron and Nikki.
The Donofrio’s met with Dana at a community event on Mother’s Day and were inspired by her work with rescue dogs. Nikki quickly befriended Dona, donating bowls, toys, and food to support her efforts. They developed a relationship over text and email, leading to a planned tour of Central Bark Poughkeepsie for Dana and preparations for the arrival of two rescues, Brioche and Pita.
These adorable 8-month-old Irish Wolfhounds arrived on June 5, 2025, by Cessna aircraft at Dutchess County Airport. The moment was filled with excitement and emotion for all, including Brioche and Pita, who were uncertain but eager to find love and companionship.
Denise is committed to helping Brioche and Pita acclimate to their new surroundings in hopes of finding them a forever home right at Central Bark Poughkeepsie. With a focus on individualized attention, play, socialization, and gentle training, Denise aims to prepare them for a loving family.
