In the cold month of December it is only fitting that our dog of the month be a dog that warms our hearts with each visit. Give it up for Sonny, a nearly two year old Golden Retriever with a big heart & sweet brown eyes! This guy is Mr. Congeniality and the class clown rolled into one; he is adored by staff, all of our daycare dogs, and pretty much anyone who meets him. Sonny loves playing tag, catch, getting belly rubs, and just hanging out with his friends. He has a lot of friends, & we mean A LOT! His favorites are Bruno, Max, Mickey, and Lily M. Even when Sonny’s in his crate, he still manages to enjoy himself. Too many times to count the staff has walked into the nap room to find him sleeping contently on his back or sitting comfortably with his face pressed against the door, making the goofiest face imaginable. Sonny joined the Mequon pack when he was just a pup, and has grown into an outstanding adult thanks to his mom Sue. She continues to practice the skills learned through his training classes such as loose leash walking, and sitting for treats. Sonny is a pleasure to have in group, and we all look forward to the days he’s here. Congratulations golden boy, enjoy your month as the star we’ve always known you to be!
