Please join us in congratulating Gus and Lucy, a dynamic duo, and our September dogs of the month! Gus is an eight year old Basset hound mix, his sister Lucy is a nine year old purebred Basset Hound. Don’t let their ages fool you, they are a lively pair! Every day they come in ready and rearing to go in their own ways…..Gus trots in, is pumped, and ready to get the party started with anticipation of playing chase and barking at friends to get them just as excited! Lucy on the other hand has a whole different tactic! She’s happy to make her way up to the facility doors to get the day started; however, she likes to take her time so she gets more attention from her beloved dad JP! Lucy’s world runs on snail time when she wants it to! And boy oh boy is she stubborn! If she wants to milk getting special attention by moving slower, she will! No ifs, ands, or buts! However, I must say when she’s feeling spunky there is no catching her! Just ask their dad, he’ll tell you! Gus and Lucy have been coming to daycare nearing on three years. They love it so much they come EVERY DAY! That’s right, these kids are VIP’s and are here rain or shine, Monday through Friday. Gus is a very active boy and loves playing silly games like tag and leap frog with friends Kinley, Buddy K, and Daisy B. When he is ready to relax, he prefers the sunniest spot outside, no other will do! Ms. Lucy tends to be more on the mellow side and prefers to gossip with friends and sing along to the radio with her famous basset bark & howl. Some of her gossip buddies include Libby L., Eva, and Cleo. After a fun day of daycare, it warms the heart to see them so excited to greet their dad and tell him all about their day. These pups are a blast, and we are so happy that they are part of our program. Sing it loud and proud you two; you are our stars this month! Well done!
