For the month of November, a month in which to be thankful, it is only fitting that we have sisters Boomer and Brinley as our dogs of the month! These girls have been with us for over seven years and the bonds of sisterhood are just as strong now as they were when they first started. Boomer is a thirteen year old Bearded Collie, while Brinley is a ten year old Labrador/Poodle mix. Despite their age they are very active, in their own ways. Boomer enjoys helping the staff teach the youngsters and loves to bark and howl with all of her longtime friends. Anyone can join in if they feel so inclined, however she does not like to be outdone and will always try to be the most outspoken! Brinley, on the other hand, enjoys mingling with her friends and romping around in the pools (weather permitting), all the while still keeping an eye on her sister. And we can’t forget to mention that Brinley has the most unique vocalizations when entering the facility due to pure excitement! It makes us giggle each and every time, even after all of these years! Boomer and Brinley are always in group together and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Brinley howls if we take Boomer in for even a quick nail trim, and gives her sis lots of love and licks as soon as she comes back. When both of the girls are settled in group, they both go to the staff for some one on one time and ear rubs. We are so happy that these girls have been with the Central Bark pack for all these years! The girls have helped set the standards for other pups in our program. We are very thankful for Boomer and Brinley! Congratulations ladies! You deserve it!
Congrats Boomer and Brinley!
