This three (almost four!) year-old Brittany Spaniel is the perfect mix of calm, confident, and ready-to-go when it’s time for action.
Ruby may be a trained hunting dog, but here at daycare she’s just as happy being a laid-back, chill girl. She loves soaking up pets from staff and hanging out with her friends, taking everything in with that calm, steady energy. But the second playtime picks up? Ruby is all in. She loves to play hard and isn’t afraid to match the energy of her more active friends. One thing Ruby is going to do every time? Show up for a treat. She is very treat motivated and always tuned in, patiently (and sometimes not-so-patiently) waiting to see if she’s earned a reward. If there are treats involved, you already know Ruby is paying attention.
And if you’ve spent any time with her, you’ve probably heard her before you’ve seen her. Ruby loves to sing and howl at her people, making sure her voice is heard and her presence is known. Whether she’s asking for attention, treats, or just joining the conversation, she always has something to say!
One of our favorite Ruby moments is how she switches from calm to go-made in a instant. One second she’s leaning into pets, the next she’s right in the middle of the action, keeping up with the rough-and-tumble crew like it’s nothing. She’s got that confident, slightly “tomboy” play style that makes her stand out in the best way. Ruby’s balance of sweet affection, big personality, and playful energy makes her such a special part of our Central Bark family. We love having her and are so excited to celebrate her all month long!
