Basic Life Skills
6-week long class for dogs ages 1-5
Mondays starting 9/8/25 – 10/13/25
5:30–6:30pm

In this group class, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your hands-on training and management skills with your dog, no matter their age! You’ll work on developing strong foundations for important life skills like recall, loose-leash walking, stationary behaviors, and relaxation around distractions.

All dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations.

*This class is not suitable for dogs who are reactive to other dogs or people. Reactive in this context can be described as persistent barking, growling, or lunging toward other dogs or people while on leash. This may or may not include the ability to eat treats while in the presence of other dogs or people.

**Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment; we apologize for any inconvenience. Full refunds will be given in the event a class is canceled.

Can I purchase a single training session or do I have to buy a package?

Our Training Tutor and Enrichment services are available as add-ons to your dog’s day care visit, and while single sessions are available, packages are also offered for your convenience. Please note that prepaid packages are nonrefundable, and all sales are final. We recommend speaking with an associate to determine the best option for your dog’s training needs.

How do I enroll in Central Bark Doggy Day Care?

It’s easy! Just find your local store and click Enroll Now to create your online account and complete our online registration form or call the location to speak with an associate.

To speed up the registration process, please have available: veterinarian contact information, an emergency contact (other than yourself or your partner), pet information & medical history, and credit card information (optional). We will ask you a series of questions about your dog’s training and social history. These questions help us get to know them and provide the best care possible.

What are flexible playgroups?

Flexible playgroups allow us to match your dog with the social atmosphere and play schedule they can enjoy and benefit from most. This helps give them a healthy balance of play, rest, and learning and creates a safer social environment with a better quality of play. And our lower dog-to-staff ratios offer more individual attention, education, and love.

Is boarding stressful for dogs?

Sleeping in a new or unfamiliar environment can be stressful for some dogs. That’s why we offer sleepovers to dogs already enrolled in our Enrichment Day Care.

Sleepovers at Central Bark® offer your dog a calm, relaxing sleepover in a place they can feel comfortable and loved. Because they’re in a familiar place, they can feel less stressed about being away from home (and so will you). A full day of Doggy Day Care is complimentary with your sleepover, so your dog can play with their friends after a good night’s rest.
