Congrats, Stella!

SEPTEMBER 2015 DOG OF THE MONTH

What shall we call September’s Dog of the Month? Is she a Baroness, a Countess, a Duchess, a Princess, or a Queen? Well, of course, we MUST call her Queen Stella since that is the highest rank in Royalty! Yes, Queen Stella, it is. This is exactly what Stella THINKS she is. She has the attitude and style one would expect in a Queen. Stella is a mix of Beagle and French Bulldog, but must think she has a pedigree.
Mike and Margie, her “parents,” have clearly pampered and spoiled this girl, and why not? All dogs deserve the best. Stella may be the Queen, but she acts like a Tom Boy as she races and runs around with abandon. She is tough! Her exhausting play causes her to sleep like the dead, and at home, she can sleep anywhere that she wants…because she is the Queen. Without all this exercise, she could become a bit “pudgy” and that would not do at all since Mike and Margie are really fit, are in top form, and also dress in the most tasteful and fashionable styles. The three of them are a picture of healthy and panache!
Queen Stella is pictured with one of her best friends, Annie. It is not accidental that one of Stella’s best friends is a Yorkshire Terrier. Pound-for-pound, this is one of the most tenacious dogs around! This would be the only kind of friend that Stella would have.
The Beagle side of Stella is clearly evident. This breed is happy, funny, cute, and loyal. Hunting dogs, they follow their nose and enjoy the company of other dogs. All of these are traits in Stella. Their need to run around a lot to let off steam is most definitely Stella!
As for the French Bulldog, they need little exercise or grooming. Stella did not inherit the gene for “little exercise” as she loves to run for miles with her “father.” The French Bulldog is stubborn, but is incredibly intelligent and eager to please. Stella did inherit these characteristics!
Now you have met Queen Stella and need to congratulate her and Mike and Margie since Stella has been honored (as she should be!) as the September Dog of the Month.
