Congrats, Lassie!

Our April Dog of the Month is Lassie. Lassie is a beautiful rough Collie and is pictured with her “brother”, Timmy. Lassie and Timmy are inseparable and you can usually find them running around on the farm where Timmy lives with his mom and dad. Lassie does come to Central Bark for Day Care when the family has appointments or are busy following Lassie who is hunting for children who have fallen into wells, or strangers who have broken a leg and are lost in the woods, or neighbors who are being attacked by rabid animals in their area, or puppies who have gotten separated from their mothers, or any of a dozen other catastrophes that seem to need the assistance of Lassie, the Martin Family…and of course, Timmy! Lassie is known for her awesome intelligence and her astonishing ability to read minds. She is quick, strong, mindful, well-mannered, and whether she has just saved a child from drowning in the creek, or just emerged from a filthy mine where she rescue a trapped miner, she has the uncanny knack of never looking the worse for wear. Lassie never appears disheveled or dirty. Her numerous injuries miraculously heal and she constantly escapes from situations that would end the life of a normal dog. For this alone she should be named Dog of the Month! Yes, Lassie is our hero and the April Dog of the Month. Eat your heart out, Rin Tin Tin! (Remember…it is the month of April…)
