What comes from Australia? Hmmmm… Koala bears… Dingos… Boomerangs… Ugg boots… good wines… and, oh yes, kiwis! And have we got a KIWI for you! (We don’t believe she is truly from Australia, however.) Kiwi is our December Dog of the Month. Her mother claims that Kiwi is the cutest Beagle on earth. And we would have to agree. We have been graced with Kiwi’s presence at Central Bark since she was just a puppy – and she certainly is a cutie. Kiwi is a very energetic gal and adores jumping up on the slide – posing – and then swooshing on down. For our faithful readers, however, we must mention that we received a very suspicious email last month – a portion of which is included here: "When it comes to dogs of the month, it is important to remember that despite all of the good breeds, the Beagle stands alone. They’re cuter, they lick better, they enjoy stomach rubs more, and well, they’re just better. So perhaps next time, you’ll remember the best breed of all–The Beagle. If you have more than one beagle in your establishment, I would suggest the youngest beagle.” Sincerely, The Beagle Protection Society We believe that this letter actually came from the Beagle Promotion Society. However, it had absolutely no bearing whatsoever on our selecting KIWI (a beagle) as the December Dog of the Month. Really, it didn’t. No, seriously.
