Congrats, Cinnamon!

Cinnamon has been coming to CBDDC Sussex for a little over a year. This sweet Chow has been rescued by our customer from very depressing circumstances. She was turned in to a high kill shelter when she was around one year old. She then ended up a dog rescue in Tennessee just before her euthanasia day. She remained there for the next 5 years with 2 people and over 60 dogs. When her Mom saw her picture on Petfinder.com, something about Cinnamon told her to “adopt me.” Mom, Dad, and their other dogs loaded up the family RV and went to Tennessee to get her. She has overcome incredible shyness to enjoy her time here with our staff and her dog friends. Cinnamon learned from her family and our staff how to trust human beings. When she took a treat from Geno after about 6 months, her Mom got misty eyed. Mom told Geno that he was the first man Cinnamon ever took a treat from. We continue to make weekly progress. We are gratified and humbled by the progress Cinnamon has made while in our care.  We are truly blessed to have this Angel in our pack!
