At Central Bark Spring, we’re a family-owned dog day care, boarding, and grooming center on Spring Cypress Rd, about 5 minutes from I-45. Here’s our holiday checklist to help you plan ahead so your dog has as much fun this season as you do.
Plan holiday dog boarding early
Holiday weeks are the busiest time of year for dog boarding everywhere, so the earlier you reserve, the more choice you’ll have on dates and accommodations. At Central Bark Spring we offer two overnight options:
- Sleepovers (for day care members): If your dog already attends our Enrichment Dog Day Care, a Sleepover is a seamless extension of their routine. They spend the night in a familiar place and keep playing with their friends during the day.
- Stay-n-Play (for occasional guests): Not a day care member? Stay-n-Play is boarding for dogs who aren’t enrolled in our day care program. Each guest gets a restful night’s sleep, personalized attention, exercise, and lots of TLC, with their own designated areas for sleeping and activities.
How to get your dog ready for a boarding stay
A little preparation makes a big difference, especially if this is your dog’s first time staying overnight with us:
- Get records and enrollment done first. Make sure your dog’s required vaccination records and account information are up to date before the holiday rush.
- Tell us about their routine. Share feeding times, medications, behavior notes, and anything that helps your dog feel comfortable.

Whether your dog is posing for the family photo or just greeting guests at the door, a fresh groom helps them look and feel their best. Our Salon & Spa offers:
- Spa Bath: bath, blow out, brush out, nail dremeling, and ear clean
- Mini Groom: a Spa Bath plus a foot, face, and sanitary trim
- Full Groom: a Spa Bath and a full haircut
- Add-ons: coat care and de-shedding, teeth brushing, nail dremeling, and special products like a blueberry facial

Keep their routine during a busy season
The holidays are hectic for dogs too: new visitors, late nights, and lots of food on low tables. Our Enrichment Dog Day Care gives your dog a structured day of play, rest, and socialization in small playgroups based on size, temperament, and play style, both indoors and outdoors. That way they come home happy and tired while you wrap gifts, cook, or host. It’s also a great way to get a new dog comfortable with us before a holiday boarding stay.
