Teach your dog:

Central Bar’s comprehensive services cover a wide range of skills and behaviors that can greatly enhance your dog’s life. Here are some of the key areas we focus on:

  • Name Recall: Ensuring your dog responds reliably to their name is crucial for their safety. Our experienced trainers use positive reinforcement techniques to teach dogs to come when called.
  • Basic Commands: Establishing a strong foundation of basic commands such as sit, stay, down, wait, and leave-it is key. Through positive reinforcement, we help dogs master these fundamental skills, improving their behavior and making them easier to manage.
  • Door and Gate Control: Teaching dogs to wait at doors and gates patiently is essential for their safety and your peace of mind. Our trainers can guide your dog in learning to enter and exit calmly on cue while waiting politely at doors and gates.
  • Loose-Leash Walking: Walking should be an enjoyable experience for both you and your dog. Our canine training experts can assist in teaching your dog to walk calmly on a loose leash, eliminating pulling and making walks more pleasant.
  • Additional Behaviors: We are equipped to address various other behaviors or issues you may be facing with your dog. Those include separation anxiety, excessive barking, or destructive chewing. Our dedicated trainers are committed to helping your dog reach their full potential and be the best they can be.

Not at all! It’s never too early or too late to begin building positive associations and using reward-based methods to teach your puppy new skills and behaviors.

Establish a training schedule now to help your puppy learn desired behaviors like walking nicely on a leash and basic cues like sit, stay, and loose-leash walking. Practicing these skills at home is critical, but it’s always a good idea to enlist the help of a professional to get a jump start teaching your puppy all the things you want them to know and set them up for success! What is the best way to train a dog?

After decades of experience, we know that reward-based training is the most humane and effective way to train dogs and address unwanted behaviors. With reward-based training, you can build a loving, trusting bond that enhances your relationship with your dog for a lifetime of happiness.

Positive reward-based techniques help puppies and dogs develop essential life skills and behaviors that will enrich their lives at home and day care. These methods set dogs up to succeed and reward them for performing desired behaviors. Rewards are tailored to the dog’s preferences and include food treats, time to play with a favorite toy, or verbal praise.

When potty training your pup, consistency is key. It’s crucial to establish a routine, practice positive reinforcement, supervise your puppy (especially when potty training), and avoid punishing your puppy when mistakes happen.
