Congrats, Zoe!

A few years ago I promised a very shy Zoe that if she would let us get a photo of her, we’d make her Dog of the Month. It took a while, but persistence paid off and I am pleases to announce that Zoe is Central Bark Downtown’s June 2014 Dog of the Month! While this 4 year old Beagle Mix may look at the world through her beautiful golden eyes cast downward, she comes “alive” when in her element-the playground. Gone is the shy dog that slinks in the door and looks cautiously around. She sprints full speed outdoors chasing after her friends. Don’t let her shorter legs fool you-she can keep up with the best of them!  When she’s not racing with her pals, she eagerly seeks out human attention and jumps up on your legs, hungry for more. And if you angle the camera just right, you catch a great picture of the beautiful, confident Zoe. But we have to be careful-she knows how to avoid it if she wants to; which is exactly why it took  so long to get a good photo of her!     While the train still scares her a bit, and she could live without stormy weather conditions, Zoe loves to run, romp, wrestle and interact with dogs & people every Monday & Wednesday until her legs are too tired to move.  We’ve loved Zoe from the moment we met her and knew that somewhere deep down there was a crazy hound under that shyness. And we were right! Congratulations!
