Meet BJ-the little dog with a big bark! There’s no mistaking when she arrives in the morning. What can only be described as a cross between a cough and a honk, BJ has announced her arrival every Wednesday for the past 3 years. Dodging her big brother, Bernie, BJ jumps up on our leg and gives a bark that says, “Hi I’m here! I’m ready! Let’s go!!” Even at 12 years of age, she’s still as spunky as ever! When BJ gets into group, she loves nothing more than to cuddle up with her dog handlers’ for as long as they can hold her. If you’re not paying attention she’ll even nose your shoe to let you know she wants to be picked up! She knows she has us in the palm of her paw!! Because she’s so cute, we give in every time! If she has decided that she doesn’t need attention, you can usually find her lying in a patch of sun, perfecting her “tan”. Once in awhile BJ will get a burst of energy and run from one end of playgroup to the other. That is a very entertaining sight. She can make pretty good time for having such little legs. BJ always keeps us smiling and we’re proud to name her March’s Dog of the Month!
