About Central Bark Manitowoc

Erik became a customer while deciding to purchase the store and loved it so much he did just that! Erik, recently retired from a 20-year career in the telecommunications industry where he worked in a variety of areas ranging from monitoring and dispatching analog and digital circuit troubles, to dispatch center management and finally technology system design, development and maintenance. Prior to this, he was a small business manager in a variety of industries, from oil change and car wash to fast food, and, even a Halloween store. Erik lives with his wife, Doris, and their 4 fur-kids, Madigan, an 8-year-old Toy Fox Terrier; a 6-year-old Catahoula mix, Judith; and their two Basenjis, 5-year-old Jasper and Lillian who is almost 3. Their dogs have always been an important part of their lives and give back as Basenji Rescue and Transport (BRaT) volunteers and are four-time past adopters. As a dog parent, Erik understands and appreciates the trust customers place in him to care for their fur-babies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 5 months too old to train a puppy?

Not at all! It’s never too early or too late to begin building positive associations and using reward-based methods to teach your puppy new skills and behaviors.

Establish a training schedule now to help your puppy learn desired behaviors like walking nicely on a leash and basic cues like sit, stay, and loose-leash walking. Practicing these skills at home is critical, but it’s always a good idea to enlist the help of a professional to get a jump start teaching your puppy all the things you want them to know and set them up for success! Central Bark® offers everything you need to help you train your dog, including expert training and classes, so you and your puppy can learn and bond together.
