Congratulations to Buddy, our May Dog of the Month! Buddy is a pit bull, almost 2 years old. Buddy was rescued almost a year ago and he has been a regular at Central Bark Gurnee since February. When Buddy was first rescued, he was timid, totally lacking in confidence. He began training classes with our trainer, Jessica Ingles, and that first night he was afraid to even walk through the door. However, he stuck with training and then started daycare and the transformation has been amazing! Buddy now walks through our door with head held high, tail wagging, ready for a day of fun with all his friends. He had to learn how to play and now he plays nicely with everyone. He is not mouthy at all; instead, he is like an athlete, giving “chest bumps” to his friends. Kudos to Buddy’s “furever” family for doing such an awesome job with him and congratulations again to sweet Buddy himself!
