Congratulations to Schultz, our August Dog of the Month. Schultz is a 17 month old beautiful white German Shepherd who has the added distinction of being the very first dog enrolled at Central Bark-Gurnee. Schultz has come a long way in his short time with us. He is extremely energetic and can play longer than any other dog here, but he has gotten so much better at “listening” when other dogs “tell him they need a break.” In addition to physical exercise, Schultz used to really enjoy exercising his lungs too, but as he has gotten more comfortable with us, he rarely barks now. Schultz is full of surprises, too. His mom told us that he hates the water, but no sooner did we fill the pool, than Schultz was jumping into it! He loves the pool, chasing the ball and playing with his new friends when they can keep up with him. When he finally is ready to rest, he likes to play the “king” and hang out in the castle toy. I t’s always a fun day when Schultz is around. Congratulations Schultz!
