A Healthy, Balanced Day
Enrichment Dog Day Care delivers a well-rounded mix of play, exercise, socialization, learning, rest, and tender loving care. Each day is tailored to your dog’s unique needs and preferences, fostering their physical, mental, and sensory well-being. This ensures you have a healthy, happy, calm, and well-rounded companion at home.
- Play, Exercise, and Socialization – Physical activity aids in maintaining a healthy weight and muscle tone, improving mood. Positive interactions with new humans, dogs, and environments contribute to creating well-socialized and content dogs. Our facility offers various playgroups in indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a suitable social environment based on your dog’s age, personality, and comfort level.
- Rest – Amidst play and socialization, ample opportunities for rest are crucial for your dog’s physical, mental, and emotional health. Our daily schedule prioritizes striking the right balance between rest, play, and learning, steering clear of unhealthy overstimulation.
- Learning – Dogs learn from both humans and fellow dogs, shaping their understanding of appropriate social behavior. Our expert staff utilizes positive training techniques to encourage safe play and support your dog in developing healthy social behaviors.
- Love – Your dog becomes an integral part of our family, receiving all the love and attention they need in your absence. We establish a strong bond with your dog, fostering comfort and confidence. With regular attendance, we become familiar with your dog’s personality, preferences, and needs. This will allow us to notice subtleties such as moods, behavioral changes, or potential health issues.
Commitment to Safety
Ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority. As fellow dog parents, we take great pride in treating every dog as part of our own family. Our commitment extends to providing a healthy and secure environment for everyone entering our facility.

FAQs about Enrichment Dog Day Care in Asheville
It’s easy! Just find your local store and click Enroll Now to create your online account and complete our online registration form or call the location to speak with an associate.
To speed up the registration process, please have available: veterinarian contact information, an emergency contact (other than yourself or your partner), pet information & medical history, and credit card information (optional). We will ask you a series of questions about your dog’s training and social history. These questions help us get to know them and provide the best care possible.
Once you have enrolled, we will need a copy of your dog’s vaccination records, which you can upload to your online account or bring with you on your scheduled first day. We also ask that your dog comes in on a regular 6-foot flat leash (no retractable or flexi-leads in the lobby) and a quick-release collar. Not sure what a quick-release collar is? No problem! We’ll be happy to show you on your first day. If your dog usually wears a harness while walking, you’re welcome to bring that as well.
If your dog typically eats a midday meal, you can bring it in an airtight container clearly labeled with your dog’s first and last names.
Rest periods can be paired with fun and interactive food toys (like a frozen peanut butter Kong) to create a rest period enrichment activity for your dog.
Not only are rest period enrichments fun and mentally stimulating for your dog, but they also help build positive associations and crating skills. Hence, dogs are calmer, quieter, and more relaxed. For dogs, being comfortable in a crate is a life skill that is incredibly useful for them and their owners.
Did you know? Scientific studies have shown that licking and chewing behaviors (especially those that involve food rewards!) are self-soothing, decrease heart and respiratory rates, and even release dopamine in a dog’s brain.
Central Bark® has outdoor facilities complete with swimming pools and cooling systems for the summer.
